CMT Testi, sığır ve koyunlarda mastitis (meme enfeksiyonu) açısından var olup olmadığını ve varsa enfeksiyonun derecesini somatik hücre yoğunluğunun tespitine dayanan bir hızlı test solüsyonudur.
Bu test sırasında beyaz veya siyah bir kab kullanılır. Plastik hammaddeden üretilen CMT kabında, her göze farklı memeden süt numunesi konulup üzerine test solüsyonu eklenir. Ardından, bu örneklerin oluşturduğu renk değişimi ve sıvı jel formuna dayalı olarak değerlendirme yapılır.
